The 3D Model #
Using the 3D Model #
This covers the interactive 3D body model, which lets you explore muscles, bones, and joints, and jump directly from any structure to related exercises.
Opening the model #
Click 3D Model in the left sidebar.
The model loads facing forward, showing the muscular layer by default.
Switching layers #
On the right side of the screen, three icons let you switch which body system is displayed:
- Muscles (default)
- Bones
- Joints
Click any icon to switch the entire model to that layer.
Moving around the model
- Click and drag on the model to rotate it.
- Use the + and – icons on the right to zoom in and out.
- Click the Home View icon (bottom right) to reset the camera to the default angle.
- Use the undo and redo arrows (bottom left of the toolbar) to step back or forward through your recent view changes.
Selecting a muscle, bone, or joint #
Click directly on any structure on the model, or use the in-model search (magnifying glass icon) to find it by name.
A panel opens on the left with the structure’s name and tabs for related structures in the same group (for example, clicking one abdominal muscle shows tabs for other abdominal muscles).
Isolate hides everything except the selected structure. Hide removes it from view entirely.
Reading the info panel #
Inside the panel, three expandable rows give you details:
- Movements – the actions the muscle performs, each with a short demo clip.
- General Info – category and classification details.
- Origin & Insertion – where the muscle attaches on the skeleton.
Jumping to exercises from a muscle (applicable to the Strength Training App only) #
Below the info rows is an Exercises section with two links: Strengthening and Stretching. Clicking either expands a scrollable list of exercise cards that train (or stretch) that specific muscle – click any card to open its full exercise page.
Tips #
- Use Isolate when you want a clean view of one muscle without visual clutter from surrounding structures.
- The Strengthening/Stretching links inside a muscle’s panel are the fastest way to go from “what does this muscle do” to “how do I train it.”
- If you lose your place after zooming or rotating, click Home View to reset instantly rather than manually rotating back.
