This overview introduces the layout of the Yoga app so you know where to find things before diving into specifics.
Main navigation #
The left-hand sidebar is always visible and has four main sections, plus Home:
- Home – a dashboard with new, popular, and recently viewed content.
- Asanas – a library of yoga poses, each shown with muscle activity overlays.
- 3D Model – an interactive human body model you can rotate, isolate, and explore by muscle, bone, or joint.
- Exercises – supplementary stretching and strengthening exercises, grouped by goal rather than by pose.
- Theory – a video library organized by topic (Asanas Theory, Fascia/Myofascia, Anatomical Terminology, Origin & Insertion, Muscle Physiology, Nerves Anatomy, Anatomy Trains).
A Help icon can be found at the bottom of the sidebar with FAQs, feedback, and legal links.
Home screen #
When you open the app you land on Home. It shows a welcome message and several horizontal, scrollable rows: “New Content,” “Most Popular,” “Recently Viewed,” and “You Might Be Interested In.” Click any thumbnail to open that pose, exercise, or video.
Top bar #
Across the top of every screen:
– Search: searches the whole app at once: yoga poses, exercises, Theory videos, and 3D Model structures (muscles/bones/joints) all together.
– Bookmark icon: opens My Collection, where saved videos are stored.
– Profile icon: your account menu (name, email, My Profile, Pricing, and Log out).
Asanas – the poses library #
This is the heart of the app: a library of yoga poses (asanas), grouped into categories such as Core Asanas, Backbends, Forward Bends, Rotation (Twist) Postures, Standing & Balance Postures, Sitting Postures, Reclining (Supine) Postures, and Restorative Postures.
Click any pose to open its detail page, which includes:
- Exercise Videos tab – a real person demonstrating the pose next to a color-coded muscle animation (pink/red = contracting, yellow = lengthening).
- Common Problems tab – short videos covering common mistakes or risks with the pose.
- Active Muscles – an expandable breakdown into Target, Synergists, Stabilizers, and Lengthening muscle groups.
- Preparatory Exercises – a row of related, easier poses that help you build up to the one you’re viewing.
Exercises #
This section is easy to confuse with Asanas, so it’s worth calling out clearly: Exercises are not yoga poses. They’re supplementary stretching, strengthening, and myofascial release movements meant to support your yoga practice — grouped by the goal they serve, not by pose type. Categories include Lower Back Lengthening, Back Muscles Strengthening, Chest Muscles Lengthening, and Myofascial Release Exercises. Use this section when you want to target a specific muscle group or problem area rather than learn a full pose.
The Theory section #
A video library similar to Anatomy’s, with two yoga-specific categories added Asanas Theory and Fascia / Myofascia, alongside general anatomy topics. A left-hand list lets you jump to a specific category, or browse “All Videos.”
Tips #
– If you’re not sure whether what you need is a pose or a supplementary movement, check Asanas first for a full pose, and Exercises for a targeted stretch or strengthening move.
– The Search bar (top bar) searches everything at once — poses, exercises, videos, and 3D model structures — so it’s usually the fastest way to find something specific.
– Content saved to My Collection is only visible to your account and won’t affect what other users see.
